eCBA Release notes

Versioning is a process of tracking changes to a database or software over time, allowing users to understand how the database has evolved and to easily roll back changes if necessary. As changes are made to the UI/UX of the database, it will be documented here in the release notes and this will include a brief description of the change, and the date it was made. We also use GitHub as the version control system to manage changes to the database by our developers. This allows us to track changes over time, roll back changes if necessary, and collaborate with others on the database.

Number Input and Paste Behaviour Improvements

Numeric inputs across Financial Calculations, Economic Calculations, Project Details, and General Assumptions now handle formatted pasted values more reliably. Money values use format-on-blur display with comma grouping, year and percentage fields avoid unwanted thousands separators, and cleared or invalid entries resolve safely without producing NaN values. Fill-forward behaviour has been preserved where intended, dirty state tracking has been tightened, macro-economic rates now round consistently without adding new bounds, and result/report calculations have been hardened against legacy non-finite values.

Unsaved Changes Protection

Project forms are now protected against accidental data loss. If the user moves away from a form with unsaved edits — stepping between sections, switching tabs or projects, or closing the browser tab — the application prompts you to save first, continue without saving, or stay on the page. Saving from the prompt validates and stores your work before taking you to your destination. Save feedback has also been improved, with a clear notification if a save does not complete.

Project Cloning

Users can now clone an existing project directly from their projects list. The clone workflow creates a new project under the current user account - prefixed with the copied title with [clone]. Uploaded project documents are not copied across to the new project. General project action feedback has also been improved with clearer success and error notifications.

Localized Form Guidance

Locale-based language content has been added to all remaining info modals across the application forms. These components are now dynamically built from our shared key tree structure making future updates easier to maintain across all supported languages.

Excel Onboarding Module Updates

Project PDF Report Fixes

Benefit summary rendering now handles long labels and percentage values more predictably, and the report delivery path has been hardened against middleware ICO asset requests that could bypass auth context during browser-driven PDF loads.

Dashboard Analytics Improvements

The admin dashboard now loads data progressively by section for a faster experience. Unique project analytics have been rebuilt with deterministic grouping logic, with new supporting routes that explain how values are calculated. A high-quality unique projects card and review page have been added, and the public projects section now supports all projects from the general account.

Project PDF Report

Users can now generate a PDF report summarising a screened project directly from the Results view. The report consolidates project details, analysis assumptions, and a per-variant summary covering CAPEX, OPEX, operational revenue, top economic benefits, and financial and economic indicators, with total cost shown in the project currency alongside EUR, USD, and the local currency equivalent. This feature is currently in beta — feedback from users will guide refinements ahead of a wider release.

Currency Options and UI Refinements

Projects now support a wider range of world currencies, giving users more flexibility in project setup and reporting. Country sorting has been added to the project list for easier navigation, and the suspense (loading) UI has been refined for a smoother experience while content is being fetched. Onboarding: Excel Workbook Onboarding

Improved Variant Modelling
